YOSHIKI Successfully Completes 3rd Neck Surgery in Los Angeles

YOSHIKI is recovering under doctor supervision, after completing sold-out concerts in Tokyo and the Paris Fashion Week Debut of MAISON YOSHIKI PARIS

Los Angeles, CA – October 8, 2024 – YOSHIKI has undergone his third neck surgery at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Beverly Hills. The procedure, a cervical artificial disc replacement, was deemed necessary following multiple medical evaluations due to severe neck pain and the nerve damage on his left hand impacting his health.

Despite his condition, YOSHIKI recently completed a sold-out series of concerts in Tokyo, Japan, spoke at Dreamforce 2024 in San Francisco, performed at the Global Citizen Award ceremony in New York, and debuted his high fashion brand, MAISON YOSHIKI PARIS, at Paris Fashion Week, where he garnered widespread acclaim.

YOSHIKI's recovery will be closely monitored by his medical team, with expectations for a gradual return to performance activities. He has a history of neck issues, having previously undergone surgeries in 2009 and 2017.

Over the past year, YOSHIKI has maintained a rigorous schedule, producing music, engaging in philanthropy, and releasing new products, including his new Rosé Champagne under “Y by Yoshiki” brand, while also completing a successful world tour and his feature film directorial debut, YOSHIKI: Under the Sky. In 2023, YOSHIKI was selected as the first and only Japanese artist to be honored with a hand and footprint ceremony at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood in nearly 100 years.

YOSHIKI is eager to resume live performances and will consult with his agency, WME, regarding future tour plans once cleared by doctors.
